Can I send a CD for review?
Yes. Send CD ONLY with e-mail and website address information to;
Review Dept.
ISWM
P.O. Box 112
Camden, NY 13316.
Please remember that due to the enormous amounts of submissions every month, you can expect to wait up to six months before your CD is considered for review. We will only contact you if you are reviewed. Please do not write to us asking if your press kit was received. We cannot return your e-mail. We also do not publish a review of every CD we receive, so it is possible that if you do not hear from us within six months, your CD was not selected for review.
How do I get on the ISWM Radio Network?
ISWM Network exists solely to promote the music of independent artists. Because we are not affiliated with--or licensed by--any performing rights organization, and by law we require signed consent from each artist to use their music on our media outlets, anyone considering being on our televison or radio show must sign and read our agreement before we can legally use their works in any of our programming.
You can obtain a copy of the agreement by going to our Info Locator Page Link accessible in the Main Directory. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Media Department.

I am a new songwriter looking for information on how to break into the music business. How do I get started?
That is a complex question with no sure, or easy answer. But a good place to start would be to join a songwriting group in your area. Maybe you can find one listed in your local music rag. If you can, get out to the open mike opportunities in your area. Mingle with other musicians, agents, club owners, radio stations, etc. The best way to break into the music business is to get started on a local level through networking.
There has to be a music station in your area that plays regional or local music. Contact them. Tell them that you would be more than happy to open for any major act that they bring into town. This will expand the amount of people that get to hear your music.
Also, be extra nice to your local music columnists. They hear from many musicians, all who want to have their names grace the pages of the newspaper. Invite a music columnist to your next gig. Buy them a drink. After they do a review, good or bad, thank them for coming out to your show. This will show a level of professionalism that will get your further in the long run.
Above all, get out and mingle. It is hard to meet people if you're sitting at home watching television. Even with internet access, you need to make real connections with people eventually. The virtual world of internet can not be used as a replacement for networking face-to-face.
